Flea & Easy, Zouk, 190807

Aisyah (19)
"This is not a vintage outfit. This is whatever I felt like wearing today."

Details to note: huge "uncle" gold frames (they come with prescriptive lenses) and a jade pendant on a gold chain!

Ansav (16)
"The shirt is from FCUK."

Kat
"My hair! It looks so messy!"

Diane (26)
"I think Singaporeans are becoming more receptive to new things. I wore these lashes out to buy lunch at the hawker centre and the uncle who served me didn't even stare!... The way to preserve your faux lashes is to make sure that you remove the lashes from the sides. Don't pull them out from the centre! You should also make sure that you remove all traces of glue before you store them away. This way, you should be able to use your faux lashes for a long period of time."

In case you are wondering, Diane is a make-up artist and she had the most gorgeous collection of faux lashes on display at her stall. I still regret not buying a pair of faux pheasant feather lashes from her.

Tracy
"This top was actually a dress that a friend's mum dress. It was really long and over-sized. She gave it to me and I hacked off the sleeves and shorten it. I really like the collar!"

Finally, you get to see her without her sunglasses!

Bugis + FashBash, 180807

Constance & Nic
"No, we are not going anywhere special. Really."

"This is my Mod outfit... I thought it would be fun to do my eyes as well, but I have received a lot of stares for my eye makeup. There was this couple on the MRT. The girl gave me a weird look and shunned me. Come on! It's not that bad!"

In all honesty, it was a well-dressed crowd at the latest FashBash bazaar. But what a crowd it was! We were packed like sardines and most times, browsing through the clothes rack was not too different from guerilla warfare. (Not that that stopped me from hanging around the Baylene stall!) While it was her eye makeup that caught my attention, what really made a deep impression on me during our conversation was how comfortable she was with herself and her attitude towards fashion. Good for her!

Rushrushrush!, Cineleisure, 110807

On hindsight, I wish I took shots of the dollfies as well.

Jasmine
"I got this bag from one of the shops at Haji Lane. I do shop at places like Salvation Army as well. Regarding the prices at Salvation Army these days... I think they are still all right. I am not sure about the one at Bukit Timah though since I don't shop at that particular branch."

Work has gotten busy again, hence the slow updates. But rest assured that I have been running around the island and there will be more updates throughout the week. (I just need to find time to sit down and upload the pictures!) For those who have emailed or commented, my sincere apologies if I am tardy with replies. I aim to reply before the week is out!
