"Maad Sunday" market, Red Dot Museum, 020706, Part 2

Iiru (23)
"I usually get my stuff from chinatown or from overseas. This pearl necklace is from Chinatown!"

Yi Lian (23)
"I wanted to wear a dress today but I just cut my hair recently and I didn't think it would go with the dress. So I wore shorts instead! But I wanted something different and decided to add the vest as well. This outfit is made of pieces from Pedder Red, Topshop, Mango and flea markets."

Candy & Bobby
We had so much fun at Candy's stall we forgot to ask for her name or other questions. In fact, we had to google to find out her name. This woman has a fantastic sense of humour. Try deciphering the naughty message she is trying to convey to you in the first photo! TCP is looking forward to her rambutan shirts. You can find out more about Bobby (and Candy) here.

Pamela (19)
"I got this skirt from Bangkok. It was one of the roadside stalls? I was passing by and it just attracted me to it."
We can see how the skirt attracted Pamela's attention. We were walking towards the MRT and her skirt stopped us in our tracks. Literally.

excellent posts this week! :D
Oh the first top was really kind of cute!
You're doing such a great job photographing Singapore's creative, colourful and quirky street fashion. Keep up the good work!!!
I'm really digging Iiru's pearls, hair and glasses.
Kat, nice blog you have here. Came to this via FaceHunter. Only comment is, a dearth of guys' fashion, which may either be due to the generally poor fashion sense of men here, or lack of retail options.
Makes me want to start one like The Satorialist and put my camera hobby to good use. Cheers.
Hi Simon,
We do try to look out for unique/interesting male outfits, but so far, haven't been too lucky in that department. And yes, please do! Singapore could always do with with more street fashion sites.
PS: Er, no offense, but it's really Kay.
Cheers!
hello there!
funny commentary, keep this going :]
I fully agree with K. Guys don't like to dress up. I blame the weather. It's just to darn hot to dress in anything else besides a tee and jeans. Plus, they don't see a reason to dress to impress unless they are out courting.
For me, I don't even own a pair of jeans. Heck, I even dress in layers in any kind of weather. In other words, when you look good you feel good.
[insert shameless self promotion]
I'm in the May archives. Feel free to criticize. :p
i like those sparkly blue and green flats! not with that outfit though.

Hey I recognise Yi Lian! She used to be one of the fashion directors at CLEO I believe.. Likewise, I clicked on the link from Facehunter, so nice to see a site from back home. It's more fun to dress in slightly cooler weather (I'm in Melbourne at the moment), you can have fun with layers, boots etc. without dying of heat stroke
im sorry but the top that the first girl wore in this post doesnt flatter her at all, and the whole turn up jeans trend is seriously ghastly. And to top it off, she wore slippers. I think orchard road has the best dressers. :-) No offense to the girl who wore that, its just an opinion on her clothes. She shouldve worn the top with regular jeans & heels to make her look taller & not wear that horrible sunglasses.
oops i meant glasses. :-) pardon
i thought the glasses were nice. gives character. i like that she was daring enough to wear such a bright ensemble that didn't in particular hug her body but it looked clashing yet tastefully put together. the hair is amazing :)
I have 3 beach dresses (street or disco or around the house) that I am
importing from India...simple and cotton (2 with 5% lycra)...just wondering if someone knows a venue I
can sell them at...or do you or friends have a store I can wholesale to??? I have 1000 pieces each.
Just let me know:
